I started blogging in the early 2000's, when LiveJournal was king and no one read anything you wrote. Since then I moved locations more times then I can count, become a wife and more importantly a mother. Currently I am a 31 year old mother to Coraline, born 09/2009 and expecting our second little girl 10/2011. Our Boston family is made up of my husband JP, Coraline, Baby #2 on the way and our pets, Roxie the dog, Misu Misu Cat and Sookie (aka Baby Kitty).
My blog in this form started as a way to keep my extended friends and family abreast of my pregnancy but it quickly became so much more. As I explored other "mommy blogs" I discovered that everything was sugar coated for the general public. No one was talking about what it was really like to be pregnant and later in turn to be a new mother. Always honest, even when it is uncomfortable or borderline gross, I am unapologetic about the glimpse I give. Real life motherhood is very rarely sunshine and rainbows, rare blissful moments are lovely but mothers need to know that the very real everyday experiences they have, are shared.
