Birthday Bash Reviews...Greenzys!

I’m always on the look out for books. Reading is something that JP and I love, so of course we always knew Coraline would have a large collection of her own books. It’s easy to buy children’s books because there are so many classics out there. From “Where the Wild Things Are”, Shel Silverstein and Dr. Suess to “The Little Prince” we have a great start. When it comes to new books though, I am a little overwhelmed. I want Coraline’s books to have great messages and great illustrations. I want to know that this is a book she will someday pull out because she loves some part of it.

 

When I came across the Greenzys I wasn’t even looking for books. What I found there were adorable stuffed animals with a message. All of the animals are totally adorable and green, in color and mentality. In their book, the animals get together to save mother earth. Along the way they become the Greenzys, an eco hero team of small green animals. It’s pretty cute. 

Coraline doesn’t have the attention just yet at 8months old to sit through this whole book, but mama has read it a few times and each time I think it is adorable. I like the illustrations the best because they are vibrant and fun. You can tell what is going on even if you aren’t old enough to read the words.

 The Greenzys are a fun new way to teach your children about being environmentally responsible. Every time you purchase one of the super cute stuffed animals, Greenzys teams up with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree in your child’s name. That is reason enough for me to spend the money on a Greenzy.  I have Willow (the elephant) on our short list of suitable birthday gifts for Coraline’s 1^st birthday. I love that I can also print a certificate with her name showing that somewhere there is a tree that was planted because of our purchase.

 

Greenzys partnered with Kids Preferred to produce their high quality eco friendly plush toys.  Made with the renewable resource soy as well as non toxic dyes, even the packaging is made of recycled materials. The award winning asthma friendly toys are certified as safe to be loved by children with asthma or other allergy related breathing problems. That makes me feel so safe about letting Coraline love her Greenzy!
